EWING, N.J. – The William Paterson swimming and diving teams both dropped decisions at The College of New Jersey Feb. 3, with the men (7-4) losing 111-78, and the women (10-3) dropping a 159-78 decision.
Freshman
Joe Schirrman (Pine Bush, N.Y./Pine Bush) was the lone individual winner for the Pioneer, earning the victory in the 50 free (22.63). William Paterson also won both the men's and women's 400 freestyle relays.
Kirk Smith (West Orange, N.J./West Orange),
Angel Camacho (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany),
Matt Lorah (New Oxford, Pa./Gettysburg) and
David Caputo (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) posted a time of 3:48.33, while
Grace McKay (Fairlawn, N.J./Fairlawn),
Traci Dombrowski (Union, N.J./Union), Melanie Mejias (Union, N.J./Union) and
Cathy Hartwell (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) registered a time of 4:01.45.
William Paterson will return to action Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Mount St. Mary at 7:00 p.m.
