CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The William Paterson women's basketball team (1-1) suffered its first loss of the season, dropping an 80-64 decision to the host Bulldogs in the championship game of the DeSales Tipoff Tournament Nov. 18.

Senior Lori Custis (Roselle, N.J./Abraham Clark) led William Paterson with 14 points, adding nine rebounds, while junior Asia Johnson (Wildwood, N.J./Wildwood) had her second straight solid effort with 12 rebounds and seven points. Sophomore Julie Haledjian (Montvale, N.J./Pascack Hills) dished a team-best five assists, and senior Michelle Pellichero (Milltown, N.J./Bishop Ahr) was named to the All-Tournament Team, scoring eight points against DeSales a day after she poured in 22 points against Springfield.

William Paterson will host Union in the first round of the Red Hawk/Pioneer Classic Saturday, Nov. 24, at 3:00 p.m.
