KING'S POINT, N.Y. – The William Paterson men's soccer team (7-5) earned a 2-0 victory at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (6-5) Oct. 3.

The Pioneers got on the scoreboard in the fifth minute, courtesy of a Dan Fulmer (Andover, N.J./Newton) goal. Freshman Daniel Sanchez (Prospect Park, N.J./Manchester Regional) later gave WPU some breathing room, converting an assist from junior Josh Lenoff (Scotch Plains, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) in the 44th minute for a 2-0 lead.

Senior goalkeeper David Casper (Franklin, N.J./Timothy Christian) made four saves for his second shutout of the year.

The Pioneers will next play at Elizabethtown Saturday, Oct. 6, at 2:00 p.m.
