MADISON , N.J. – The William Paterson women's tennis team competed at the NJAIAW Tournament Oct. 13-14 at Drew.

Junior Rachel Menzzopane (Neptune, N.J./Neptune) reached the quarterfinals of Flight A after defeating Lisette LaForge of Kean in the second round, 8-3. Freshman Delnaz Shalforoosh (Haworth, N.J./Northern Valley Regional-Demarest) also reached the quarters, defeating Olivia Shapiro of Kean, 8-6, in Flight B.

Junior Joanna Jakobik (Garfield, N.J./Garfield), senior Cristina Reilly (Seaville, N.J./Wildwood Catholic) and sophomore Evelyn Tam (Paterson, N.J./Passaic Tech) each reached the consolation first round in their respective flights, and junior Keri Harris (Gloucester, N.J./GCIT Academy of Performing Arts) advanced to the consolation second round in Flight D.

The Pioneers will return to action Thursday, Oct. 18, at Saint Elizabeth at 4:00 p.m.
