MADISON, N.J. (OCTOBER 7, 2006) -- Senior
Evonne Tan (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) advanced to the consolation final to lead the William Paterson women's tennis team at the NJAIAW Tournament Oct. 7 on the campus of Drew University.
Playing first singles, Tan lost to Alex Kinson of Georgian Court 2-8 in her first match, but bounced back to defeat Nicole Rubinetti (Rutgers-Newark) 8-6 and Maria Carroll (Drew) 8-6. Tan then fell to Vanessa Pangikas of Saint Peter's in the consolation final Oct. 8, 3-6, 2-6.
The Pioneers will finish their fall season with matches at Kean Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 4:00 p.m. and at Richard Stockton Saturday, Oct. 14, at 1:00 p.m.
