PITMAN, N.J. – The William Paterson women's tennis team rated sixth in the 2010 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll released Aug. 20.
The College of New Jersey received all six first-place votes and was the favorite to win the NJAC title, followed by Richard Stockton (dark horse), Ramapo, Rutgers-Newark, Kean and William Paterson.
The Pioneers were 4-7 overall and 0-5 in NJAC play last fall under the direction of third-year head coach
Mary Lou Rios. WP will return four letterwinners this season.
William Paterson will begin the 2010 campaign Wednesday, Sept. 1, at home against John Jay at 4:00 p.m.
