Mike Guadango was selected to the All-ECAC First Team for the third time during his career.
CAPE COD, MASS. – William Paterson senior designated hitter Mike Guadango (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands) earned a spot on the ECAC All-Metro Region First Team, the group announced June 3.

A two-time all-American and a four-time first-team all-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) pick, Guadango led the Pioneers with eight home runs, a .494 on-base percentage and a .643 slugging percentage this spring, adding a .380 batting average, eight doubles, 34 runs scored, 29 RBI, and eight stolen bases. Guadango finished his career as William Paterson’s hits (257) and doubles (54) leader, and ranks first in at-bats (622), third in runs (167), fifth in home runs (26), tied for fifth in hit by pitches (17), sixth in batting average (.413) and tied for 10th in triples (nine) while starting in 149 of 152 career games.

Guadango was selected to the 2010 New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) Division II/III All-State Second Team and American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Mid-Atlantic Region All-Third Team, the 2009 Rawlings/ABCA All-America Third Team and ABCA All-Region, All-ECAC Metro Region and NJCBA Division II/III All-State First Teams, and the 2008 ABCA All-America Second Team and ABCA All-Region, ECAC All-Metro Region and NJCBA Division II/III All-State First Teams. He also earned the 2007 NJCBA Division II/III Rookie Player of the Year award while garnering a spot on the ABCA All-Region Second Team.

William Paterson finished the 2010 season 16-21-1 overall and 6-12 in the NJAC.
