WAYNE, N.J. – Softball sophomore outfielder
Raquel Roder (Hoboken, N.J./Hoboken) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week May 3.
Roder hit a team-best .545 (6-11) last week, contributing a double, three runs scored and four RBI. She was 2-for-3 with three RBI during an opening 10-2 win (five innings) against Rutgers-Newark April 28, and finished 3-for-4 with a run scored and another driven in during an 8-0 victory (five innings) in the night cap. On May 1 against No. 20 Rowan, she scored the winning run in a 2-1, eight-inning victory to start the twin bill, and she was 1-for-2 with a double and walk in the second game against the Profs.
