WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson junior outfielder
Jillian Mulderig (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) was named to the ESPN The Magazine/College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Softball Academic All-District 2 Second Team, the group announced.
The right fielder started in 41 of 42 contests for the Pioneers this spring, registering a .980 fielding percentage (one error in 49 chances), a .225 batting average and six stolen bases. A member of the Fall 2007, Spring 2008, Fall 2008, Spring 2009 and Fall 2009 Dean's Lists, as well as the 2007-08 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-America Scholar-Athlete Squad, she was named to the 2008-09 All-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Academic Honorable Mention Team. Mulderig owns a perfect 4.00 grade point average as a business administration major.
William Paterson was 26-15-1 overall and 11-7 in the NJAC this season.
