WAYNE, N.J. – Five different Pioneers were in double figures in scoring as No. 9/11 William Paterson (18-1, 6-1 NJAC) rolled to a 90-42 women’s basketball victory against visiting Rutgers-Camden (2-14, 0-7 NJAC) Jan. 23.

Sophomore BriAnna Lucas (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) scored 16 of her game-high 21 points during the first half, and finished with five assists and three steals. Senior Julie Haledjian (Montvale, N.J./Pascack Hills) posted 12 tallies and five assists, while freshman Lindsey Callander (Branchburg, N.J./Somerville) matched her career best with 12 points while dishing out four assists and collecting three steals. Freshman Cori Santana (Lodi, N.J./Lodi) added a career-high 11 points and five rebounds, and sophomore Danielle Sindorf (Burlington, N.J./Burlington Twp.) added five boards and a career-best 10 points. Senior Erin Cook (Princeton, N.J./Princeton) pulled down 10 of her game-high 14 rebounds during the first 20 minutes of play.

Sophomore Casey Crenny finished with 11 points for Rutgers-Camden, followed by junior Sarah Gorbe with seven.

Ahead by six (25-19) with 8:56 remaining in the first half, William Paterson finished the period with a 21-2 run to take control of the game and go into the locker room with a 46-21 advantage. The Pioneers enjoyed an 11-36 advantage in turnovers and a 40-4 edge in points off those miscues. WP also out-rebounded Rutgers-Camden by a 51-33 margin and collected 21 steals.

William Paterson will visit New Jersey City Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 6:00 p.m., while Rutgers-Camden will host Rowan Jan. 27 at 6:00 p.m.
