WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson field hockey senior forward
Meghan Hall (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Twp.) was named to the
ESPN The Magazine/College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 2 At-Large Third Team, the group announced May 22.
Named to this fall's Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-America First Team and
Womensfieldhockey.com All-America Second Team, Hall was the 2008 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Attack Player of the Year and a three-time member of the All-NJAC First Team (2006-08). A selection to the 2007 and 2008 NFHCA All-South Atlantic Region First Teams, Hall finished her career third in both goals (42) and points (116) in William Paterson history, and played in the 2008 NFHCA National Senior All-Star Game. In addition to her exploits on the field, Hall was named to the 2007-08 All-NJAC Academic Second Team as well as the 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squads.
In order to be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be starters or key contributors, be in their second year of competition at the school, and own a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30. The at-large women's team includes the sports of bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis and water polo. Hall recently graduated cum laude from William Paterson with a bachelor of science degree in physical education.
