Junior Christina Zippler hit .313 with a double, home run, seven RBI and six runs scored to help lead the Pioneers to the NCAA Regional final.
WAYNE, N.J. – Softball junior center fielder Christina Zippler (Blackwood, N.J./Washington Twp.) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week May 11.

Zippler earned a spot on the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament Mahwah Region First Round All-Tournament Team May 7-10 after batting .313 with a double, home run, seven RBI and six runs scored to help lead the Pioneers to the Regional final. During an opening 9-2 victory against seventh-seeded Muhlenberg May 7-8, the starting center fielder was 2-for-4, hit a double, drove in four runs and scored twice. She drew a walk, stole a base and scored during a 4-2 loss to top-seeded Messiah May 9, and helped William Paterson reach the final with a 3-for-4 effort during an 8-3 elimination-game victory against third-seeded Rowan May 10, scoring three times and breaking a 2-2 tie with a three-run homer during the top of the second inning.
