Freshman Tyler Grady had first-place finishes in the 200 IM (2:18.43) and 100 back (1:00.64) at FDU-Florham.
MADISON, N.J. – Senior Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) and freshman Tyler Grady (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) were double winners as William Paterson (6-1) earned a 113-68 victory at FDU-Florham (1-5) in men’s swimming action Dec. 5.

Karas posted victories in the 100 (49.30) and 200 (1:49.60) frees, while Grady was a first-time individual double winner with first-place finishes in the 200 IM (2:18.43) and 100 back (1:00.64).

Freshman Sebastian Schrils (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) touched first in the 50 free (23.41), sophomore Jeremy Lim (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) won the 100 fly (57.91), sophomore Edward Zappile (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) finished first in the 500 free (5:26.83), and senior Kirk Smith (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) won the 100 breast (1:07.31).

The 200 medley relay of Stefan Rosales (Rahway, N.J./St. Joseph’s-Metuchen), Smith, Lim and Alex Burdi (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) posted a winning time of 1:49.44, while the 200 free relay of Karas, Kevin Thomas (Seaville, N.J./Ocean City), Brian Birkbeck (Absecon, N.J./Holy Spirit) and Schrils won in a time of 1:33.08.

The Pioneers will return to action Wednesday, Jan. 20, at home against Queens at 6:00 p.m.
