Kelly Helfrich was named the Pioneer of the Week after collecting her 1,000th career kill.
WAYNE, N.J. – Volleyball senior middle hitter Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) and was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Nov. 2.
Helfrich averaged 3.62 kills, 3.88 digs and 1.25 blocks per set during a 2-0 week for the Pioneers. She had 10 kills, 13 digs and five blocks during a 3-0 win at Rutgers-Newark Oct. 27, reaching the career 1,000-kill mark during the contest in just her third season as a Pioneer. Helfrich later posted 19 kills, 18 digs and five block solos during a 3-2 victory at Lehman Oct. 29.
