GLASSBORO, N.J. – Despite a 16-11 advantage in shots and an 8-0 edge in corner kicks, William Paterson (8-5-6) was unable to break through for a goal, losing 1-0 at Rowan (12-5-2) in the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men’s Soccer Tournament Oct. 31.

The third-seeded Profs used a goal by midfielder Ryan Gordon at the 55:52 mark to advance to the semifinals. He knocked in a pass from forward Dan Arnold, who had gotten a feed from forward Petter Lunde.

Goalie Charlie Cunliffe stopped five shots for his seventh shutout. For the sixth-seeded Pioneers, goalie Dan Peragallo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) made four saves.
