Auger, Feriod Picked to Play in NFHCA Senior All-Star Game

WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson field hockey goalie Christina Auger (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) and midfielder Jodi Feriod (Glassboro, N.J./Glassboro) were selected to play in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior All-Star Game, the group announced Oct. 30.

The 2009 NFCHA Division III Senior All-Star Game will be played on Sunday, Nov. 22, at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass., at 9:30 a.m.

Named the 2007 and 2008 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Goaltender of the Year, Auger was selected to the 2008 NFHCA All-America First Team as well as the womensfieldhockey.com All-America Second Team and the All-NJAC, NFHCA All-South Atlantic Region and All-ECAC First Teams after compiling a 1.15 goals-against average, an .814 save percentage and six shutouts. This fall, Auger has posted a 1.85 GAA and a .765 save percentage with one shutout. During her career, she has started in 55 of 58 contests and owns a 1.35 goals-against average, a .799 save percentage and 14 shutouts.

Feriod has started in 70 of 71 career contests, including all 17 this fall, and has posted career totals of 12 goals and 17 assists for 41 points. As a senior, she has tallied six goals and three assists, and a year ago she compiled 15 points (5 g, 5 a) while earning spots on the All-NJAC First Team and the NFHCA All-South Atlantic Region Second Team.

William Paterson (9-8, 2-3 NJAC) will finish regular-season play Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Kean at 7:30 p.m.
