WAYNE, N.J. – Sixth-seeded William Paterson (8-4-6, 2-2-5 NJAC) will play at third-seeded Rowan (11-5-2, 5-2-2 NJAC) in the first round of the 2009 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men's Soccer Tournament Saturday, Oct. 31, at 6:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults, and $2.00 for students, children, and senior citizens.
The winner of the William Paterson/Rowan match will advance to play at second-seeded The College of New Jersey (7-5-4, 5-2-2 NJAC) in the semifinals Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m. In the other first-round match, fourth-seeded Rutgers-Newark (12-4-4, 4-3-2 NJAC) will host fifth-seeded Richard Stockton (12-7-1, 4-4-1 NJAC) Oct. 31 at 1:00 p.m. The winner of that match will play in the semifinals at top-seeded Montclair State (15-0-2, 7-0-1 NJAC) Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. The championship match will be played at the site of the highest remaining seed Saturday, Nov. 7, at a time to be determined.
Earlier this season, the Pioneers and Profs played to a 1-1 double-overtime draw at Pioneer Soccer Park (Oct. 10).

Brian Woods, is 8-4-6 overall and 2-2-5 in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) competition following a 1-0 victory against Richard Stockton Oct. 29.
Junior
Julian Valerio (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan), a first-team all-region and all-NJAC honoree a year ago, leads the Pioneers with 22 points (8 g, 6 a), while sophomore newcomer
Anthony Ferrer (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Parsippany) has tallied seven goals and three assists for 17 points. Junior Ambrogio
Pipitone (Paramus, N.J./Paramus), a 2008 second-team all-conference selection, owns six goals and two assists.
Senior
Dan Peragallo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick), a member of the 2008 All-Region Second Team and All-NJAC Honorable Mention Team, has a 0.89 goals-against average, a .790 save percentage and four shutouts in goal this season.
William Paterson returned nine starters and 16 letterwinners from a 2008 team that compiled a 13-5-4 overall record and a 5-3-1 mark in conference play, earning its first postseason title since 1975 by winning the ECAC Metro Tournament.
