WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson sophomore middle hitter Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) earned a spot on the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Volleyball All-First Team, the league office announced Nov. 9.
Helfrich led the Pioneers with a .229 hitting percentage, 3.46 kills and 1.08 blocks per game, adding 2.88 digs and 0.54 service ace per game. A newcomer at William Paterson after transferring from Penn State-Altoona, she ranks second in the NJAC in blocks per game and points per game (4.95), fifth in kills per game, tied for sixth in hitting percentage and ninth in service aces per game.
The Pioneers posted a 21-12 overall record and a 3-5 mark in NJAC play, losing to eventual-champion Montclair State in the first round of the NJAC Tournament.
