MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The William Paterson men’s swimming and diving team (7-5, 0-4 NJAC) concluded its dual-meet season with a 179-119 loss at Montclair State (6-5, 1-3 NJAC) Feb. 6.
Senior Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) was a triple winner, touching first in the 50 (22.66), 100 (49.40) and 200 (1:50.68) frees. Junior Andrew Scimeca (Lincoln Park, N.J./Boonton) finished first in the one-meter required (137.85) and optional (202.20) dives.

MAHWAH, N.J. - The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (7-4, 0-3 NJAC) lost to host Ramapo (7-2, 2-2 NJAC), 179-83, on Feb. 2. Senior Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) won the 200 free (1:49.74) and touched second in the 50 free (23.12).

PITMAN, N.J. - William Paterson senior Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) earned his third New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men's Swimmer of the Week award this season when he was again honored on Jan. 25.
Karas established a new school record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:00.54 Jan. 24 against The College of New Jersey, and he also won the 50 free (22.25) and was second in the 100 free (50.75) against the Lions.

WAYNE, N.J. – Senior Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) established a new school record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:00.54 as William Paterson (7-2, 0-2 NJAC) lost to visiting The College of New Jersey (8-1, 3-0 NJAC), 159.5 – 116.5, on Senior Day Jan. 24 at Wightman Pool.

WAYNE, N.J. – Senior Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) was a triple winner as William Paterson (7-1) defeated Division II Queens, 180-99, in men’s swimming and diving action Jan. 20 at Wightman Pool.
Karas touched first in the 50 (22.52), 100 (49.97) and 200 (1:47.8) frees, while junior Andrew Scimeca (Lincoln Park, N.J./Boonton) was a double winner in the one-meter required (153.4) and optional (151.15) dives.

WAYNE, N.J. -- The William Paterson swimming and diving programs will host an Alumni Meet Saturday, Jan. 23. Warm-ups will begin at 3:00 p.m., with the meet starting at 4:00 p.m. at Wightman Pool.
The order of events will be: 200 medley relay, 25 free, 50 free, 100 free, one-meter dive (two dives), 50 fly, 50 back, 50 breast, 100 IM and 200 free relay. Only alumni who dove for the Pioneers will be eligible to compete in the one-meter.

MADISON, N.J. – Senior Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) and freshman Tyler Grady (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) were double winners as William Paterson (6-1) earned a 113-68 victory at FDU-Florham (1-5) in men’s swimming action Dec. 5.
Karas posted victories in the 100 (49.30) and 200 (1:49.60) frees, while Grady was a first-time individual double winner with first-place finishes in the 200 IM (2:18.43) and 100 back (1:00.64).
