WAYNE, N.J. -- William Paterson women's basketball seniors Elisa Brown (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) and Julie Haledjian (Montvale, N.J./Pascack Hills) presented at the 2010 New Jersey Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NJAHPERD) Convention.
Both physical education majors at William Paterson, Brown and Haledjian were among a small number of students selected by professor Dr. Amy Rady to teach an activity at the convention, and the pair of Pioneer guards taught "Urban Basketball" for approximately 60 people.

WAYNE, N.J. - Sophomore BriAnna Lucas (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) scored 21 points to lead four Pioneers in double figures as No. 7/8 William Paterson (21-1, 9-1 NJAC) pulled away from Ramapo (8-13, 2-8 NJAC) for a 67-50 victory on Feb. 3.
Walking into the locker room at the half with a four-point lead (28-24), it was a second-half explosion that propelled William Paterson to the win. The Pioneers came out in the second half with a hot hand, shooting 42.9 (12-28)percent from the field. William Paterson went on a 12-4 run to start the second half, giving the Pioneers a 12-point advantage (40-28) with 13:33 remaining in the game.

WAYNE, N.J. -- The William Paterson women's basketball team moved up one spot to seventh in the USA Today/ESPN/Women's Basketball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll and eighth in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll released Feb. 2. The Pioneers are 20-1 overall and 8-1 in New Jersey Athletic Conference play, most recently earning a 70-67 win at Rowan on Jan. 30.

WAYNE, N.J. - Women's basketball sophomore guard BriAnna Lucas (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Feb. 2. Lucas averaged 21.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals as WP registered a pair of wins to extend its win streak to six games.

GLASSBORO, N.J. – Trailing by as many as seven during the second half, No. 8/9 William Paterson (20-1, 8-1 NJAC) scored seven of the final 11 points to get past host Rowan (12-7, 6-3 NJAC), 70-67, in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) women’s basketball action Jan. 30. The win, WP’s sixth straight, gave the Pioneers their third 20-win season in the last four years.
Sophomore BriAnna Lucas (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) poured in 27 points for the Pioneers, adding five rebounds, six assists and three steals.

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Senior Erin Cook (Princeton, N.J./Princeton) notched her eighth career double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds during a 60-47 victory for No. 8/9 William Paterson (19-1, 7-1 NJAC) at New Jersey City (4-13, 2-6 NJAC) Jan. 27.
Sophomore BriAnna Lucas (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) scored a game-high 15 points for the Pioneers, who earned their 15th straight victory against the Gothic Knights.

WAYNE, N.J. -- The William Paterson women’s basketball team was ranked eighth in the Today/ESPN/Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll and ninth in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll released Jan. 26.
The Pioneers are 18-1 overall and 6-1 in New Jersey Athletic Conference play, most recently defeating visiting Rutgers-Camden by a 90-42 score Jan. 23. William Paterson currently leads the NJAC’s North Division by 1.5 games.

WAYNE, N.J. – Five different Pioneers were in double figures in scoring as No. 9/11 William Paterson (18-1, 6-1 NJAC) rolled to a 90-42 women’s basketball victory against visiting Rutgers-Camden (2-14, 0-7 NJAC) Jan. 23.
Sophomore BriAnna Lucas (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) scored 16 of her game-high 21 points during the first half, and finished with five assists and three steals. Senior Julie Haledjian (Montvale, N.J./Pascack Hills) posted 12 tallies and five assists, while freshman Lindsey Callander (Branchburg, N.J./Somerville) matched her career best with 12 points while dishing out four assists and collecting three steals.

MONTCLAIR, N.J. – No. 9/11 William Paterson (17-1, 5-1 NJAC) pulled into the lead in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women’s Basketball North Division standings with a come-from-behind 67-60 victory at Montclair State (11-6, 5-2 NJAC) Jan. 20.
Sophomore BriAnna Lucas (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) led the Pioneers with 19 points, adding three steals, while senior Julie Haledjian (Montvale, N.J./Pascack Hills) contributed 17 tallies, five rebounds and three assists.
